Started in Old Bridge in 2018
Family-run from day one. What began on Route 18 in 2018 has grown to Carteret — same food, same warmth.
I discovered this place back in 2021 when I moved to NJ. Their flaming Zinger and cheese fries were probably my main things. I started coming here again and I can’t deny the fact that their food is just top tier. When you’re in need of a good chicken platter, burger, or any quick bite this is the spot!! (You’re gonna be craving the chicken over rice on a daily).
Thank you for serving the absolute best food of any restaurant in the area. Butter chicken platter with white sauce is untouchable. Need a little bit more white sauce per serving but the rice is super flavorful and the chicken is tender and the SAUCE oooooommmmmmmggggggg. Pitas are soft and perfect. Little pillows.
I have been frequenting the Halal Spot since it opened more than a decade ago. It is simply one of my favorite places. It blends American, Indian, and Arabic food in a one stop delicious shop. I love their menu and highly recommend the Zinger and the potato pot. If halal comfort food had a headquarters, it is The Halal Spot! It’s a can’t miss dining destination in Old Bridge.
